For the past few months, I’ve been taking part in a chain mail card swap with fellow Aussie SU demonstrators. It reminds me of the childhood game Chinese Whispers, where the message never quite ends up the same as it started!
Cards in our swap can evolve in much the same way. The first card in each blog hop begins as an original design, which is then posted to the next person on the list. Each participant creates their own version by CASEing (Copy And Selectively Editing) the card they receive before sending it on again. This continues throughout the group, with each card changing a little along the way.
I’ve absolutely loved this challenge, there’s something so exciting about opening the letterbox every two weeks to find a new card waiting to inspire me. I must admit, I’m really missing that happy mail now that this round has come to an end.

For my Z-fold card, I used the lovely Stitched Stocking Bundle and A Stitched Season DSP, and with such beautiful products, the card came together really quickly. As I do with all my cards, I inked around the edges of all the pieces to give them a little more definition and help the layers stand out.
I decided not to add a sentiment to the front of the card, instead letting the DSP and embellishments be the main focus.
Now for my little "oops" moment! Silly me forgot to order the Adhesive Backed Mini Christmas Buttons when I ordered all the other matching products. So, I had to have a good rummage through my stash of buttons to see what I could find. Luckily, I found some that were a pretty good match, and I tied them on with a little Linen Thread.
I really love how this card came together. Sometimes it's those little details (and a rummage through your stash!) that finish a card off perfectly.
