Cards in our swap can evolve in much the same way. The first card in each blog hop begins as an original design, which is then posted to the next person on the list. Each participant creates their own version by CASEing (Copy And Selectively Editing) the card they receive before sending it on again. This continues throughout the group, with each card changing a little along the way.
I’ve absolutely loved this challenge, there’s something so exciting about opening the letterbox every two weeks to find a new card waiting to inspire me. I must admit, I’m really missing that happy mail now that this round has come to an end.
For today’s blog hop, we’re starting with my card.
I used Florals in Bloom DSP as the base of my card and paired it with the coordinating Pretty Florals stamp set and dies. I folded 2.5 cm of cardstock on the right-hand side to create a feature panel, then added a 2 cm strip of Secret Sea DSP to both the front fold and the inside for a matching look.
I decorated the front and inside with a 7 cm x 14 cm piece of DSP. The flowers were stamped in Petunia Pop ink, coloured with Stampin’ Blends, and die cut. I also added some leaves in Granny Apple Green cardstock for contrast. The floral arrangement sits on a rectangle from the Perennial Postage Dies. To finish, I added a sentiment stamped on Cloud Cover cardstock and punched out with the Three Banner Punch.
Dies: Pretty Floral, Perennial Postage
Stampin' Blends: Petunia Pop
